IDFA and the National Milk Producers Federation sent a joint letter yesterday to state senators in Maryland, urging them to oppose legislation that would remove existing regulations that prohibit the direct sale of raw milk to consumers.

The letter outlined the dangers associated with drinking unpasteurized milk and highlighted several prominent health organizations that oppose it, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
