Sponsored By:
|
Coquina Ballroom | |
How do we work together to inspire a new vision for dairy—to seize opportunities, navigate challenges, and redefine the future of a transformed dairy industry? IDFA President and CEO Michael Dykes assesses the dairy foods and consumer landscape over the next decade and lays out a plan of advocacy, education, and network-building that will help us shape the dairy industry and set a new standard within food and business.
The dairy industry, from producer to processor, is not unlike other evolving industries, and has experienced significant phases of consolidation and realignment due to market, consumer, and external forces. Recent bankruptcies and acquisitions, as well as the dairy supply chain disruptions resulting from the COVID-19 crisis, are indicative of the tenuous nature of the industry’s existing infrastructure. What will the next phase of evolution in the dairy industry look like and what do we need to do now to inspire a new vision for dairy. How to play a golf scramble?
In a scramble, each golfer in the foursome takes a shot from the tee. From that point, the team decides who has the best drive, and all players advance forward to that spot to take their second shots. This process continues, with the best shot being taken each time, until a member of the team is able to hole out. The team’s score for that particular hole is recorded as the number of team “strokes” it took to get the ball in the cup.
