Alison Krebs is Director of Dairy and Trade Policy at Leprino Foods Company. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with nine plants across the U.S., Leprino Foods is the country’s largest buyer of milk, the world’s largest producer of mozzarella cheese, and a global manufacturer of dairy nutrition products.
Alison leads Leprino Foods’ advocacy efforts across a range of issues, including striving to open markets and reduce trade barriers; addressing economic issues such as milk pricing policy; and understanding the implications of broader challenges to Leprino and the dairy industry. She also manages Leprino’s presence across industry associations, authors dairy and nutrition market updates, and co-instructs Dairy Economics training courses for colleagues.
Alison’s career has spanned food and agriculture. Prior to joining Leprino Foods in 2020, she held market research and international marketing roles for Elanco Animal Health and was Senior Consultant at the agribusiness consulting firm, Adayana. She then turned to industry research (including Dairy) as Director of Knowledge Exchange with CoBank, followed by Director of Market Intelligence at National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.
Alison holds a BS in Agricultural Economics from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from Purdue’s Krannert School of Management. A life-long learner, she completed an MS in Applied Economics from the University of North Dakota in 2018. Beyond work, her favorite activities include golf, hiking, reading, traveling, and volunteering in her community.
