Ben Hoperich serves as the Senior Strategic Category Manager at Abbott Laboratories, within their Global Procurement organization. Since joining Abbott in 2020, Ben has held various category management roles, overseeing the procurement of essential dairy ingredients such as Milk, Milk Protein Concentrates, Whey, Lactose, and Hydrolysates.
In his current position, Ben is responsible for developing and executing strategic dairy initiatives that enable Abbott’s global network. His expertise and leadership have been pivotal in ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of these critical dairy products.
Ben hails from rural Ohio and holds a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business in Columbus, OH. Prior to his tenure at Abbott, he gained experience working for multi-national retail sales and life science companies.
Ben’s current role allows him to blend his agricultural background and passion with his business acumen to navigate and promote the global dairy sector. He is based in Abbott’s Columbus, Ohio offices and resides just outside the city with his wife, Brittany.
