Bryan Johnston

President, Americas, Fonterra

Bryan has been promoted to President, Americas, where he leads Fonterra’s Sales and Operations across the region, including key hubs in Chicago and Mexico City.

Bryan’s journey with Fonterra began in June 2018 as the Director of Consumer Retail, where he spearheaded the successful relaunch of the Anchor™ brand in the U.S. market. By May 2019, he transitioned to the foodservice team as Field Sales Director and swiftly rose to Vice President in February 2020. In this role, he led a strategic realignment of the business and forged an IP partnership with a leading U.S. dairy company, significantly scaling Fonterra’s U.S. foodservice business.

Since November 2020, Bryan has served as Global Account Director, managing a team that supports one of Fonterra’s largest global customer partnerships. In March 2024, he expanded his responsibilities as VP Operations, leading operations across the Americas while maintaining his global account duties. During this period, he championed a major capital project poised to deliver substantial value to both the co-op and its customers over the next decade.

Before joining Fonterra, Bryan held sales and marketing roles at Mead Johnson Nutrition, focusing on the Pediatric Nutrition Business with brands like Enfamil™ and Enfagrow™. Prior to that he began his career at The E. & J. Gallo Winery, where he concentrated on the Wine & Spirits Business. Bryan is renowned for driving strategic partnerships, his leadership during times of change, and his unwavering focus on growth.

Bryan holds a BA from Colorado State University and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He resides in the North Shore of Chicago with his wife, Christy, and their two children, Parker (9) and Sophie (6). Outside of work, Bryan enjoys traveling, skiing, golfing, cycling, and running.
