Cathy Burns is president and CEO of the newly formed International Fresh Produce Association, a unification of United Fresh Produce and Produce Marketing Association. IFPA launched in 2022 as the largest and most diverse international association serving the entire fresh produce and floral supply chain. Cathy served as co-CEO with Tom Stenzel, longtime leader of United Fresh, until today. In fact, today is her first day as sole CEO. Before IFPA, Cathy served as CEO of PMA for 8 years. She has more than 25 years of experience in the grocery industry, serving at Food Lion as chief operating officer, senior vice president of retail operations-north, and several other senior positions.
