Daragh Maccabee was appointed CEO of Idaho Milk Products in October 2017. He has been a resident of Idaho’s Magic Valley for over 17 years since arriving there from Ireland in 2006.
Prior to joining Idaho Milk Products, Daragh spent 18 years with Glanbia, most recently as SVP Procurement & Dairy Economics at Glanbia Nutritionals. He served on the Board of Southwest Cheese and from 2006 to 2015 held the position of Executive Vice President & CFO of Glanbia’s US Cheese and Whey business. He started his career with Glanbia as Financial Controller of Glanbia’s Irish Consumer Foods business. Prior to Glanbia, Daragh worked with Coca-Cola in Russia in the startup of a manufacturing facility and distribution business in Central Siberia. He graduated from Griffith College Dublin and the Dublin Business School and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Daragh serves on the Board of the Idaho Milk Processors Association (IMPA) and took on the role of IMPA President in 2019 and served in that position until the end of 2021. He currently serves as Chair of the Ingredients Segment Board of IDFA and has served on the Board and Executive Committee of the American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI). He also serves as Vice President of the Unity Alliance of Southern Idaho, an organization that promotes the importance of immigrants to the continued success of our dairy industry.
He is married to Dolores, and they have 3 daughters. When not working, he enjoys the challenge of long-distance running.
