Emily DeBord is a senior marketing specialist in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Dairy Promotion, Research, and Planning Division. In her current position, Emily is responsible for the oversight of the Fluid Milk Processor Education Program, more commonly known as MilkPEP. This program finances and develops a coordinated program of promotion and research to improve the competitive position of and to expand markets for fluid milk products in the United States. Emily also administers the Dairy Donation Program, designed to encourage eligible dairy organizations to partner with non-profit organizations and provide nutrition assistance to low-income individuals. Emily began her career with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 2005 in the Livestock and Poultry Program, working on the Beef, Pork, Soybeans, Sorghum, Eggs, and Lamb research and promotion programs.
Emily grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Virginia Tech. In her free time, she enjoys biking, reading, traveling, going to Nats games, and playing with her dog, Wolfgang. Emily currently resides in Reston, Virginia.
