Joe Barrow

Director of Quality Assurance and Food Safety, Idaho Milk Products

Joe Barrow is the Director of Quality and Food Safety for Idaho Milk Products, which is one of the largest dedicated Milk Protein Concentrate and Milk Protein Isolate plants in the world.  Since July of 2021 he has been responsible for the quality systems and food safety programs at Idaho Milk Products.

Joe was born and raised on a small family farm in south central Idaho where he spent his summers driving tractors, moving pipe, and learning the value of hard work.  After finishing high school, Joe got the opportunity to live in Uruguay for two years where he learned Spanish which has served him well throughout his life.

Upon returning from South America, Joe went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Idaho State University.  Prior to Idaho Milk, Joe worked for Glanbia Nutritionals in Gooding Idaho, as Quality Manager and oversaw quality in both cheese and whey operations.  Joe has also held quality roles with Sorrento Lactalis, Pinnacle Foods, and the JR Simplot Company.  In total Joe has over 22 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Food Safety with the last 15 of those being in the Dairy industry.

In his free time, Joe enjoys spending time with his family and fishing the many rivers and streams found throughout Idaho.
