On Saturday, August 8, IDFA placed an ad in The Forum of Fargo-Morehead (The Forum) in support of U.S. Representative Collin Peterson, D-Minn., whose primary election was on Tuesday, August 11.

Rep. Peterson has been a champion for the U.S. food and agriculture industry since he arrived on Capitol Hill nearly three decades ago. He is an invaluable leader in today’s Congress and he currently serves as Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee where he has significant sway with House leadership.

With a sizable dairy constituency that is responsible for a $4.5 billion total economic impact on his district, Chairman Peterson is a champion for our dairy industry—he helped deliver the 2018 Farm Bill which delivered changes and tools to help dairy processors and producers better manage market instability and uncertainty, and most recently he secured a dairy recourse loan program authorization in the HEROES Act passed by the House this summer.
